Arrival and Welcome in Cortina d'Ampezzo

Arrive in the charming alpine town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the gateway to the Dolomites. Meet your guide and fellow trekkers at our welcome dinner where we'll discuss the week ahead, review equipment, and answer any questions. Overnight in a comfortable mountain hotel with stunning views of the surrounding peaks.

First Steps - Tre Cime di Lavaredo

After breakfast, we transfer to our starting point and begin our trek with a moderate 5-hour hike to the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo. This gentle introduction allows for proper acclimatization as we ascend through alpine meadows to our first mountain refuge at 2,320m. The afternoon offers time to relax and enjoy the spectacular views of these famous three peaks.

"Alpine Lakes and High Passes

Today's 6-hour trek takes us across high mountain passes and past several stunning alpine lakes. We'll traverse the Cadini di Misurina range, stopping for lunch at a scenic viewpoint. Our destination is a beautifully located refuge with panoramic views. Evening brings the opportunity to photograph the dramatic sunset over the Dolomites

Summit Day - Monte Cristallo

Our longest day (7-8 hours) takes us to the summit of Monte Cristallo at 3,221m. This is a challenging but achievable ascent with rewarding 360-degree views at the top. We'll have a celebratory lunch on the summit before descending to our refuge. This day showcases the true beauty and challenge of alpine trekking.

Rest Day and Local Exploration

A well-deserved rest day allows for optional shorter hikes, photography, or simply relaxing at the refuge. We'll visit a local alpine dairy to learn about traditional cheese-making, and enjoy a special dinner featuring regional specialties. This day provides cultural immersion and recovery time

Final Trek - Return Journey

Our final trekking day (5-6 hours) takes us on a different route back, passing through valleys and forests we haven't yet explored. We'll visit a historic World War I mountain fortification and learn about the region's history. Evening celebration dinner in Cortina with certificate presentation.

Departure

After a final breakfast together, we say our goodbyes. Airport transfers are provided, or you're free to extend your stay in the Dolomites. Many participants choose to spend additional days exploring the charming towns and enjoying the world-class skiing or hiking opportunities.
